Kabir Talks About Stuff is a newsletter where I write essays about my interests, from human interactions, design, and productivity to programming, cognitive science, and life in general.

The best way to see if you like the newsletter is to read through my most recent posts.

Kabir Talks About Stuff was earlier “Great Stuff.”

About Me

People are actuated by impulses the existence of which they vigorously disavow; some of their thoughts differ from the thoughts which they acknowledge; and some of the actions which they think they will to perform they do not really will. They are thoroughly gulled by some of their own hypocrisies and they successfully ignore facts about their mental lives which on the official theory ought to be patent to them.

—Gilbert Ryle, The Concept of Mind

I’m Kabir, a freshman at UC Berkeley studying what I call CS-squared: Computer Science and Cognitive Science. I’m interested in what makes people and machines tick: the motivations and algorithms that drive what we do and make us who we are, whether we realize it or not.

Currently, I’m serving on the Alumni Leadership Council for the Conrad Challenge, helping redefine what STEM education should mean in the 21st century. In the past, I led my high school’s technology club, organized a high school technology conference attended by 3,000 people from around India, and created Unslant.
